Meet Our Community Partner – 460 Realty PR

At Qathet365, we believe in building connection through community. It means a lot to us when our sponsors share those same values, and 460 Realty Powell River is a great example.

In 2020, when four local agents saw the need for an independent brokerage that understood the community, they created something built on local values while still offering the strength of an established Vancouver Island–based brand.

Today, their office consists of a close-knit group of Realtors who support one another and show up for the region they call home.

Powell River Realtors with Local Roots and Fresh Perspectives

We’ve seen how the Agents at 460 bring together a mix of backgrounds and perspectives. Some grew up here and raised families locally. Others arrived from other Canadian cities and chose qathet for the lifestyle and opportunities it offers. Together they bring decades of experience, which helps them connect with people and find solutions that truly fit their lives.

Supporting Powell River and qathet Through Community Involvement

“We take the initiative to join forces with and support local causes that are important to us.”

-460 Realty Powell River Agents

We also see the difference they make through their ongoing support of their time and donations to community events and organizations. Their involvement includes supporting the Powell River Kings, QPAWS through the Marathon Shuffle, the Firefighters Charitable Society hockey game, Powell River Gymnastics Society, Food Bank and Salvation Army drives, the Salmon Society, Texada Island Non-Profit Seniors Housing Society, and Springtime Market events like the Easter Egg Hunt. Their presence is felt in many corners of qathet life, and it’s clear they take that role seriously.

Advice for Homebuyers in qathet

Their advice for homebuyers is refreshingly down-to-earth. “Real estate should suit your lifestyle and budget,” says Nancy Hamilton. Austyn MacKinnon adds, “Date the rate, marry the house; find a way and take a step toward your future.” For Katie Indrebo, timing is personal: “Buy when it feels right for you, not when others tell you it’s the right time.” And Bill Bailey reminds newcomers that, “Getting involved in the community is a great way to jumpstart your life here.”

Why We’re Proud to Partner with 460 Realty Powell River

At Qathet365 we’re proud to feature 460 Realty Powell River as a community partner. Their commitment to community reflects what we aim to highlight every day: connection, local support, and the quality of life that makes qathet such a special place to call home.

You can find 460 Realty Powell River at their Joyce Avenue office, explore their listings online, or connect with them on Facebook and Instagram. You can also “Come say Hi at Springtime Nursery’s Fall & Winter Markets and Check out Qathet365’s website for our latest Open House postings!”

Treat Your Self: Erika’s Top Picks

Sometimes the best way to recharge is to carve out a little time for something indulgent, intentional, or just plain lovely. These are my top three spots in Powell River when I want to slow down, splurge a little, or enjoy something made with care. Whether you’re shopping, sipping, or getting your glow back, these local businesses are all about helping you Treat Your Self—your way.

Little Hive

Whenever I want to add something fresh to my wardrobe—or just indulge in a little sensory joy—I stop in at Little Hive. The shop smells incredible (thanks to the handmade soaps and candles), and every corner is filled with beautifully curated finds: vintage clothing, locally made jewelry, and even eco-friendly cleaning products that somehow make chores feel… almost fun?

This place is full of charm and character. It’s the kind of shop you wander into for “just a quick look” and leave with three things you didn’t know you needed—but now love.

Owl & Bear

Tucked away in the Townsite Market, Owl & Bear is a treasure chest of bulk herbs, practical curiosities, and one-of-a-kind gifts. I usually go in to refill my stash of tea-making ingredients, and I always end up spotting something new, clever, or unexpectedly perfect for someone I love (also: me).

They’re also the home base of Pirate Pops, the locally made frozen treats that everyone seems to crave once the sun comes out. Owl & Bear is the kind of place where you never know what you’ll find—and that’s exactly why I keep going back.

Kajal Kromm’s Wellness Spa

From brow shaping to facials to luxurious massage, Kajal Kromm’s Wellness Spa, also located in the Townsite Market, is where I go to feel totally cared for. Kajal has a warm, welcoming energy and a real gift for making people feel beautiful and grounded.

And because she doesn’t stop at pampering, she and her husband also run Taste of Heaven G&K, the sweet little tea and sandwich shop right upstairs from the spa. It’s the perfect finishing touch to a little me-day. (I’m still thinking about the soup I had there. Chef’s kiss.)

What is an Event? More Than You Think!

When most people hear the word “event,” they think of big festivals, concerts, and ticketed shows. But an event can be anything that brings people together or gives someone a reason to leave the house.

Going out for dinner? That’s an event. So is grabbing a drink at a brewery, checking out live music at a café, or joining a pop-up yoga class. Farmers’ markets, garage sales, art shows, comedy nights, open mics, guided hikes, community BBQs, and even library storytimes all count. Whether it’s a festival, a sports tournament, a film screening, or a casual beach cleanup, if it’s something people can show up for, it belongs on the q365 calendar.

Why Add Your Event to qathet365?

Thousands of locals tune in to qathet365 every month. Over 20,000 people visited our website and socials in the last 30 days alone! That’s a huge audience actively looking for things to do.

Make qathet365 a part of your event planning process. Submitting your event is fast, free, and easy—just head to www.qathet365.ca/submit and get it listed.

More Than Just Powell River

Many people think our area is just Powell River’s 13,000 residents—but that’s only part of the story. The qathet Regional District, stretching from Saltery Bay to Lund and including our surrounding islands, is home to over 21,000 people. And we know for a fact that these folks are using qathet365 to find out what’s happening.

Tourists Are Looking, Too

With summer approaching, now is the time to get your event on the radar of visitors. Businesses thrive when tourists know where to go, but many don’t have a clue what’s happening in town.

I’ve personally met visitors shopping along Marine during Logger Sports Festival who had no idea the event was happening—even though they were already here! That’s a huge missed opportunity.

By listing your event, you help locals and visitors discover what’s happening—driving more foot traffic, boosting attendance, and making qathet a more vibrant place for everyone.

Ready to share your event?

Submit your details today at www.qathet365.ca/submit and get it in front of thousands!
