DESCRIPTION:Location: Rotary MakerSpace. \nPRPL’s “MODS” series is a bi-monthly program opportunity for neurodivergent kids and their families to access PRPL’s play resources\, technology\, and arts and crafting supplies in a planned environment.\nMODS runs on Mondays\, 3:15-4:45 pm\, when reserved – with your choice of 30mins\, 1hr or 1h30mins duration – and is available to any child who needs modifications to enjoy PRPL’s after school programming. It is best suited for children ages 7+. Group size is limited to 4 kids\, plus attending adults.\nMODS embraces diverse needs and lowers barriers to participation by enabling participants to modify factors such as group size\, duration\, atmosphere and access. It is created in consultation with families and participants and aims to be responsive to individual needs. MODS is a safe place for neurodivergent kids to explore new resources and social interactions with more one-on-one support and fewer group variables. MODS aims to build participant confidence and\, if desired\, act as a stepping stone to participation in PRPL’s drop-in afterschool programs.\nAnyone who wants to book a MODS session must first fill out a registration form and select their “mods.” Please fill out a form for each child who wants to attend. Subsequent MODS sessions do not need a registration form and can be reserved directly by emailing szagwyn@prpl.ca.
