I remember patiently waiting for my brother to leave the house\, sneaking into his room and losing myself in Lou Reed’s Transformer\, T-rex The Slider\, and Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust. Just holding the record cover in my hands\, reading the liner notes and studying the artwork was – and still is exciting! \n\n\n\nDigging through bins of records is akin to visiting a museum or curated art show with a myriad of styles represented\, both visually and aurally!  \n\n\n\nApproximately 50% of records sold in 2025 were bought by people who don’t even own a turntable\, but for their collectability\, aesthetic\, or decorative purposes.  \n\n\n\nFortunately\, in qathet we have the Full Bug Record Store and the annual VinylFlip Record Fare on April 5th to help satisfy your need to have and hold physical media the way most artists intended their work to be experienced. \n\n\n\nThere will be plenty of bins to dig through. DESCRIPTION:Do you know about Artist Trading Cards? Whether you do or don’t\, we hope you’ll join us for ATC nights with host Harvey Chometsky. \n\n\n\nIn short\, Artist Trading Cards are self-made unique works or small series\, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer\, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in this collaborative event. There are only 2 “rules”: the cards must be 2.5″x3.5″ (the same as modern hockey cards or baseball cards)\, and they are only to be traded\, not sold. \n\n\n\nMake them ahead of time\, or make them on the spot. We’ll bring some blanks and other art supplies. \n\n\n\nAnd this is a family-friendly event!
