The Fake Indian Wedding Experience

Experience the colour, music, food and traditions of an Indian wedding without anyone actually getting married!

The Fake Indian Wedding Experience brings two nights of celebration to Courtenay’s Florence Filberg Centre, featuring food, music, dancing and cultural traditions.

Friday, October 2: Mehndi and Jaggo celebrations with henna, Bhangra, Dhol, Bollywood and Punjabi music.

Saturday, October 3: A Baraat procession, wedding games, cultural storytelling, live performances, a traditional fashion show and the Grand Reception.

Everyone is welcome. Come hungry, dress for the celebration and get ready to dance!

An evening to connect and praise life through food, poetry, music, and visual arts.

6:30 PM — Reception-style buffet and refreshments by Linda Shaben, featuring diverse foods from Palestine and the Levant.

7:00–9:00 PM
