Experience two days of live music at the 10th Annual Texada Blues & Roots Festival, taking place July 18–19 at the Gillies Bay Ball Park. Showcasing talented performers from Texada Island, the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, and surrounding communities, the festival celebrates the best of blues, roots, folk, bluegrass, jazz, and more in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Bring a lawn chair, settle in under the trees, and enjoy a full weekend of great music, local food vendors, artisan booths, a kids’ zone, a beer garden, and the Sunday Farmers’ Market. With its friendly atmosphere and beautiful island backdrop, the Texada Blues & Roots Festival is the perfect excuse to spend a summer weekend exploring everything Texada has to offer.

Celebrating the music of our local musicians! Most of our performers are from within 100 km of Gillies Bay. We have a diverse group of performers for your enjoyment while showcasing Texada Island, the largest island in the Gulf Island chain.

This Texada music festival is for everyone; fabulous blues and roots, food and craft vendors, a kids’ zone for the young ones to play, the Farmer’s Market on Sunday, and a place to quench the adults’ thirst.

Texada is unique, picturesque and diverse. There is so much to do while you are here. Spend the weekend and explore the many hiking trails, visit Stromberg Falls or swim at Shelter Point or Shingle Beach. Check out the museum and wave to our friendly locals.
