Youth Foraging Workshop

August 5, 2025 @ 5:30 pm 7:00 pm

Join us for our Youth Foraging Workshop!

🌿
☀️

This event is Part 1 of the YouthCAT & qathet Climate Alliance “Local Food Systems Youth Event Series,” bringing youth and young adults ages 15-30ish together to connect around themes of local/global food systems, sustainability, and hands-on fun.

🌊

This workshop will be located at ʔahʔǰumɩχʷ, colonially known as Willingdon Beach, a significant and historic site where Tla’amin people have gathered for fishing, canoe landings, and sports.

🌸

We’ll learn to identify local edible plants and flowers, forage them, and then brew teas to sample the different plants.
Plus, we will make our own to-go tea blends using Ecossentials tea ingredients (like mint, licorice and elderberry) and also get to take home a local foraging guide zine!

📍

This event takes place on the traditional territory of the Tla’amin Nation.
